3k plain is another very very popular fabric, not quite as free forming if your doing complex curves due to the tighter weave, but a great choice for flatter objects. Being a tighter weave makes it in some ways easier to work with, and pre cutting the fabric into shapes becomes easier due to the edges not falling apart as much as other looser weave types. Plain weave is simply woven 1 over 1 under, the finished product still gives a beautiful 3 dimensional look, and doesn’t get anywhere near the weave misalignment like can be seen on a lot of twill weave products.
