Description
Peel ply, also known as release fabric, is woven as a plain weave, yet remains a porous fabric.
It is used in both regular vacuum bagging and resin infusion techniques. Peel ply is the first layer to go down on top of your laminate, this layer is very important as it is a non stick fabric which allows the rest of the vacuum consumables to be ‘ripped off’ along with the peel ply after the laminate has cured.
Once removed (torn away) from the laminate, it leaves a perfect spiky surface too bond too.
- For regular vacuum bagging apply a layer of bleeder fabric over the peel ply
- For resin infusion apply a layer of infusion mesh over the peel ply
