3k carbon twill is the most popular fabric we sell, and the most recognizable fabric when is comes to carbon fiber products. The ‘3’ in 3k, refers to 3000 individual strands of carbon making up the ‘tow’ which is then woven into a mat using a ’twill’ weave style. This particular product uses a 2×2 twill weave, which means it is woven 2 over 2 under. This gives a real 3 dimensional look to your part, and the looser weave type gives the advantage of of being able to conform the fabric into many different shapes.
